Akash Sood

School of Information, University of Michigan

I am a PhD student at the School of Information. My research interests broadly lie in Behavioral and Experimental Economics and Data Science. My advisors at SI are Alain and Erin. My current research is an experimental exploration of the causal relationship between cultural norms and people's innovation behavior for my pre-candidacy paper. I am also working on a paper that looks at the development of trust, through repeated interactions between senders and receivers, during information sharing in a network experiment.

Before starting my PhD, I worked as an RA with Prof. Farzana Afridi and Prof. Kanika Mahajan at the Indian Statistical Institute Delhi. I have a Masters in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics, New Delhi. I also hold a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi.
